7,400 sq. ft. recreation center addition to Gray's Creek Middle School . Completed in 2004, the addition includes a gym / recreation center lobby, meeting / activity rooms, kitchen, offices, storage, and toilet rooms. The design connected the new recreation center to the existing school gym through a common gym lobby. The recreation center can be secured from the school for varying operating hours. The site amenities included a new 60 bay parking facility, children's playground area, and landscaping. Careful consideration was given to the location of the site improvements in order to save and protect several existing old growth oaks.
